Somatic Therapy
What to Expect
Embodiment can feel elusive, even unsafe, for trauma survivors - but for some people, inhabiting our bodies is necessary for processing overwhelming experiences. When indicated, I integrate somatic interventions to support my clients with safe embodiment and trauma processing - this may involve (but is not limited to) self-attunement and/or skilled touch with informed client consent.
Certified in Zero Balancing® (ZB) since 2009, my work is informed by this elegant modality, both in the therapeutic setting, as well as in my own ongoing personal growth journey. A beautiful, stand-alone therapy in its own right, ZB can also easily be integrated with Parts work, as well as with EMDR®, KAP, and psychedelic preparation and integration.
Additionally, I am currently a student of a polyvagal-informed somatic modality that uses client self-touch and/or practitioner touch with client consent to support healing developmental trauma.
