Support for Professional Helpers

What to Expect

Large redwood trees in a lush forest with sunlight filtering through the green canopy.

I am passionate about supporting other helping professionals of all types, from fellow therapists to healthcare workers to first responders, and educators.  I have observed that most who are drawn to the helping professions are incredibly compassionate, sensitive, and empathetic individuals – and the work we do brings with it the risk of burnout and compassion fatigue.

As such, we have a special obligation to engage in our own ongoing personal healing work so that we can remain present with our clients, patients, or students and prevent burnout, compassion fatigue, counter-transference, or a lack of awareness that could unintentionally result in harm to those we intend to help.

For those in the helping professions, self-care is a part-time job! The pressure to have it all together doesn’t belong in this room. You can arrive exactly as you are.
